General Overview Tarik is a man who, to the discerning viewer, bears wisdom that is hard-won. Known for being rather impulsive in his youth, Tarik's experiences among the Maquis, the Dominion War and its aftermath, as well as the Romulan evacuation have tempered him. Though he continues to have strong convictions of right and wrong (especially where people's lives are concerned), he is also much more cynical as to the motivations of others. For him, actions speak louder than words.
Strengths & Weaknesses Loyalty to one's fellow beings is among the most important values Tarik holds, at least in the sense of being passionate about justice and caring deeply for the well-being of those in need. To that end, he is willing to put himself out there, bending rules or even working outside the system if necessary to safeguard them.

When it comes to personal relationships, it can take a while for Tarik to open up and be truly vulnerable with people. Those who gain his trust find him to be a dependable, reliable friend indeed. However, if that trust is betrayed, it can take a long time to rebuild (assuming that it can be rebuilt at all).
Ambitions If there was ever a time in his life when Tarik had ambitions of rising through the ranks of Starfleet or gaining a command of his own, those days are long gone. He has, instead, found satisfaction living on his own and providing medical services to a small, rural community on Cestus III where he feels he is able to make a more direct, meaningful impact on the world (and the people) around him.
